The present Privacy Policy explains how Horizon Studies, referred to herein as “the Company”, collects, processes, stores, protects, and discloses personal data obtained from individuals who use or express interest in its services, referred to herein as “the User”. The processing of personal information by the Company is conducted in accordance with Moroccan Law 09-08 relating to personal data protection, together with any other applicable regulatory frameworks. By accessing or submitting information to the Company, the User acknowledges and accepts the practices described in this Privacy Policy.

  1. Categories of Personal Data Collected

The Company collects personal data strictly necessary for the performance of services. This includes identification and civil information, academic histories, financial documentation, contact details, copies of passports or national identity documents, proof of language proficiency, visa-related materials, and any additional documents required for university and immigration application processes. The Company may also collect usage data from digital interactions such as communications, preferences, and browsing information when visiting the Company’s website or digital platforms.

  1. Legal Basis and Purpose of Processing

Personal data is processed for the legitimate purpose of delivering advisory, admission support, and related administrative services. The User explicitly authorizes the Company to transmit such information to universities, academic institutions, governmental bodies, embassies, recruitment partners, and third-party providers involved in the User’s application. Personal data may further be processed for internal risk management, fraud prevention, service improvement, communication, compliance with legal obligations, and fulfillment of contractual commitments toward the User.

  1. Data Retention Period

The Company retains personal data for the duration necessary to accomplish the purposes for which the data was collected, followed by an extended period if required to comply with legal obligations, maintain evidence in case of disputes, or support internal operational needs. At the end of such periods, the data may be deleted, securely archived, or irreversibly anonymized.

  1. Anonymized Data and Commercial Use

The Company may transform personal data into anonymized statistics or aggregated datasets that do not permit identification of the User. Such anonymized information may be stored, analyzed, shared, or commercially exploited without further notification or authorization, as it does not constitute personal data under applicable laws.

  1. User Rights and Requests

The User has the right to request access to personal data held by the Company and may request rectification of inaccurate information. The User may also request deletion of personal data, although such requests may be refused when retention of the data remains necessary for compliance with legal or legitimate operational obligations. Any request concerning personal data must be addressed to the Company’s official communication channels. Responses shall be subject to verification of the identity of the requester.

  1. Data Security

The Company implements technical and organizational measures intended to prevent unauthorized access, destruction, modification, or disclosure of personal data. However, the User acknowledges that no transmission system or storage technology can guarantee absolute security and agrees that the Company shall not be liable for breaches arising from circumstances beyond reasonable control.

  1. Transfers of Personal Data

The User authorizes the Company to transfer personal data to third parties located within or outside Morocco insofar as such transfer is strictly required for the execution of services, including applications to educational institutions abroad. Any third party receiving such data is required to process it solely for the intended purpose and in compliance with applicable privacy safeguards.

  1. Changes to the Privacy Policy

The Company may amend this Privacy Policy at any time. Updates shall take effect upon publication. Continued interaction with the Company following any modification shall constitute acceptance of the updated Policy.
